Process of Bowl Formation

1. Material Preparation

Pre-cut and pre-creased kraft paperboard or bioboard sheets are used as raw materials. These flat blanks are delivered ready for processing with pre-defined folding lines to ensure accuracy in the later stages.

2. Forming Station

The flat blanks are placed into the forming hydraulic press, which uses heat and pressure to fold the sheet into a rectangular box shape. This stage shapes the base and sides of the box, creating its structure.

3. Pre-Curling Station

The formed box is transferred to the pre-curling hydraulic press, where the top edges are partially curled. Heat and pressure soften the material, preparing the edges for the final curling process and ensuring uniformity.

4. Final Curling Station

The box is moved to the final curling hydraulic press, where the top edges are curled into their final smooth and rounded shape. Heat is applied to bond the layers securely, eliminating the need for adhesives and ensuring a durable finish.

5. Collection

Once the final curling is complete, the finished boxes are automatically collected on a tray by robotic arm collector for easy handling and packaging.

6. Packaging

Finished boxes are either stacked and nested or partially collapsed for flat packing. They are then cartoned, labeled, and prepared for shipping to customers or distributors.
